Share and Care "Ring Out the Old and Bring In the New”

Join Sherry and Sharon, members of the Fibromyalgia Society and Board for an interesting afternoon to share your experiences, coping skills and resources. The afternoon will begin with a discussion: “How was your holiday season?” with an opportunity, for those who wish, to share “What issues do we face during the holidays?” and “How do we deal with them?” With your input we hope to learn from each other how to deal with a variety of circumstances that effect our lives, not only during holidays but daily, as we interact with others and try to find healthy ways to care for ourselves. Healthy relationships are so important.

There will also be time to “Revisit and Learn More About Some of the Resources Available in the Library and Through the Fibromyalgia Society”. These include books, newsletters, emails, websites and brochures. If you have some interesting resources, please bring the information to our meeting.

We look forward to a relaxed and informative afternoon together.

“A Story About Fibromyalgia and Healing With Yoga”

Guest Speaker: Edie Cassady, Registered Yoga Therapist

We welcome Edie Cassady, who was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia many years ago and like so many of us was then left to learn about it and find, for herself, treatments that would help her to deal with all the symptoms she was experiencing. After trying many things, Edie discovered the healing benefits of Yoga for herself and, with a commitment to help others, she has taken many courses to become an internationally recognized Yoga teacher and registered therapist. She offers a variety of programs for people with various health problems, including Fibromyalgia. On Sunday, March 18, 2012, Edie will be offering a “Fibromyalgia Workshop”, 10:00am to 2:00pm. For more information see the poster on the next page.

To meet Edie to learn more about the possible benefits of Yoga for yourself come to our February meeting.
